“I’d heard a lot about the first-rate PGCE course, the quality facilities and the supportive staff from students who’d studied at Edge Hill, so I requested a prospectus and the rest, as they say, is history!

Prior to the PGCE, I attended the subject knowledge enhancement course, which was a great experience that I’d recommend to anyone, as it made starting the actual PGCE more relaxed and familiar. I made some great friends on the course and learnt a lot about the University, so it was all great preparation.

I felt that one year wasn’t much time to fit in so much training and learning, so really was prepared for the worst! It’s true that it has been a tough journey all the way, but with all the hard work comes the rewards and each milestone gives you a real sense of achievement.

The school placements were all well thought-out and suited me well, not only in terms of my aspirations and ability, but also because they were close to home, which was good due to my family commitments.

The course itself has really stretched me and tested me to achieve things I would not previously have thought possible. It’s been a truly diverse and challenging experience, but is one that I am truly grateful for.”
