Exploring the boundaries and new applications of performance are central to our department.
The staff team pursues creative and traditional research projects within the Centre for Performing Arts and undergraduate teaching is often linked to this work.
There are also a range of extra curricular opportunities for collaboration with staff in research areas, for example, we have our own Dance and Physical Theatre ensemble which examines staff research ideas with student practitioners.
The department has a wide range of practitioners, researchers and teaching specialists contributing to courses in the department. There is a staff research forum and the department holds an annual research symposium bringing together staff, invited practitioners and selected third year graduates to share performance work.
