Online Needs Analysis Tool

Abstract:

This workpackage focused on the development of a tool for students to support planning and delivery of orientation to e-learning. It also aimed to assess technical competence to inform initial technical induction activities.

Initial evaluations of existing online analysis tools assisted in gaining insight into the technical requirements of the system, but after early piloting and evaluation, we decided opted to use Bristol Online Surveys for a quick and clean solution. In the first instance, we have worked with our FE colleagues to develop a simple survey that gains insight into participants on a more general level. There is scope to develop the survey further in order to get much detailed and specific data, should we feel the need.
