Honorary Fellow features on Radio 4
Dr John Archer, an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of English and History at Edge Hill University, made a guest appearance recently on the BBC Radio 4 ‘Making History' programme.
This weekly broadcast explores the links people have with the past and following a listener's queries about the Halsted Riots in Essex during 1816, John was contacted by the programme makers.
John, who is the author of ‘By a Flash and a Scare' which examines the rural protests in East Anglia at this time was invited to discus and explain some of the factors that contributed towards this uprising live on air.
