Edge Hill offers TDA funded Subject Specialist Courses for teachers
Edge Hill University's Faculty of Education is currently providing secondary school heads and teachers with an opportunity that is too good to miss!
Aimed at those teaching chemistry, mathematics or physics but without a first degree or PGCE in the subject, Edge Hill is offering Subject Specialist Professional Development Courses that are fully funded by the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) and are flexible to meet the needs of each participant.
The purpose of these courses is to help develop a teacher's subject knowledge of chemistry, mathematics or physics and enable them to deliver both the conceptual and practical aspects of their subject with competence, enthusiasm and confidence to learners aged 11-18 years in schools and colleges.
Courses last one school year and when completed the successful candidates will receive a nationally-recognised accreditation and in most cases a bursary. Attendance at University would be on a Wednesday afternoon each week during the school year for which supply costs will be covered.
For further information and to see how your school, staff and pupils could benefit please contact the course administrator, Andrea Davies, on 01695 657099, email davies@edgehill.ac.uk
