It's all about you
Staff at Edge Hill University are celebrating today after they received a five-star rating from students.
Students judged Edge Hill staff as being the most "helpful and interesting" in the North West, with the University also gaining a four-star rating in the "small tuition groups" category.
Edge Hill was given the highest regional rating in the Virgin 2010 Guide to British Universities in a week that has also seen the University's ranking in The Times University Guide improve by an impressive 10 places, including a top twenty rating for "student satisfaction".
The Virgin 2010 guide looks at all UK universities and offers students' views of what it is like to study at a particular university. It includes official ratings for teaching, statistics on graduate employment and job prospects for each course.
John Cater, Vice Chancellor at Edge Hill University said: "Edge Hill has always been and will continue to be about the students and what we can do as a university to help them to reach their potential. The ranking that tutors have been given in this year's Virgin Universities Guide, placing us alongside Oxford, Cambridge and a small handful of other leading universities, reflects the hard work that staff put in to each and every student."
