Will Edge Hill bring the award home?

Dr John Cater, Vice Chancellor at Edge Hill said: "The University is absolutely delighted that the professionalism and hard work of its Student Services staff has been recognised in being short-listed for the prestigious Times Higher Leadership and Management Award for the Outstanding Student Accommodation Team. We look forward to the Awards Evening at the Park Lane Hilton in June and, as one of only a handful of universities to have been nominated in each of the past four years, the possibility of a second victory."

The student accommodation team at Edge Hill University are in the running for one of the top honours at the prestigious Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards 2009.

The team will have an anxious wait until June, when the winner of the Outstanding Student Accommodation Team category will be announced during an awards dinner held in London.

Later in the year Edge Hill will unveil 144 extra bed spaces at the University's Ormskirk campus, in yet another important step in the University's campus development plans.

The building work will be completed in September 2009, meaning students joining the University in the next academic year will have the option to apply for a place in the new ultra-modern rooms.
