Ever wondered what it's like in a real operating theatre?
Edge Hill University, the region's largest provider of health care professionals, is holding a special open day at the Professional Excellence Centre in Bromborough on Wednesday 24 September 2008 from 12pm-8pm.
An operating theatre will be set up for the event, giving potential students the chance to see what it is really like to be involved. There will also be an opportunity to practice taking blood from artificial arms and a chance to try out the latest in surgical instruments.
Staff will be on hand to give advice on courses and how to enrol or visit the main campus in Ormskirk.
Strong partnerships with local authorities have resulted in the opening of a number of regional outreach centres, including the Professional Excellence Centre, created in collaboration with Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council.
All programmes are designed to fit around people's working lives with work-based, flexible and part-time options available.
For further information on the open evening please contact Andrew Domelow, Practice Facilitator on 01695 657044.
