The Creative Future Showcased At FACT
More than 80 of Edge Hill University's top creative talents from the Media Department will showcase their final year work at FACT on Monday, 2 June 2008. The students have just completed degree courses in journalism, animation, film, TV and advertising. The pieces on show range from advertising campaigns, radio documentaries, magazines and animated and short films produced by students like Peruvian-born Javier Villegas Llerena.
Javier came to the UK to further his animation skills after previously completing a degree in architecture in Brazil. He is a dedicated animation student who has produced some remarkable work, much of which is unique and reflects his culture.
Michelle Gledhill, Programme Leader in Advertising said: "This is the first time Edge Hill University has worked with FACT and it is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the final-year projects that the students have been working on."
"As Liverpool is hosting the Capital of Culture it is exciting to be involved in such a prestigious event and, who knows, you might be looking at the work of the next David Ogilvy, Nick Park or Martin Scorsese!"
The evening starts at 6:30pm and offers industry professionals and the public interested in creative media work the chance to see what the cream of Edge Hill students have produced. Tickets are free and can be reserved on 01695 58 4778.
An exhibition of the students work will be on show from 3 - 10 June 2008 in the new £14m Faculty of Health building on the Ormskirk campus.
