Just Wright for Science Fiction
Edge Hill University lecturer Peter Wright has been shortlisted for a prestigious Locus Award.
Shadows of the New Sun: Wolfe on Writing / Writers on Wolfe is one of five finalists in the Non Fiction category of the Locus Awards, one of the most prestigious science-fiction and fantasy awards of the year.
Locus is a journal covering the SF and fantasy fields, and the Awards are presented to winners of its annual readers' poll. Winners will be announced at the Science Fiction Awards Weekend in Seattle, June 20-21, 2008.
The book collects essays, interviews and articles by and about Gene Wolfe, 'one of the most important American writers to emerge in the latter half of the twentieth century'.
Peter teaches on a number of literature and film modules, and writes occasional blogs for the Guardian.
