Edge Hill recognises the importance of work experience as part of student life. Many students view it as a crucial partner to their studies and an experienced graduate is increasingly attractive to employers. With this in mind, Nicola Thornton, Faculty Placement Officer has arranged for a company on behalf of Walt Disney World, Florida to hold a recruitment event for Edge Hill students on Wednesday 6 February.
The Walt Disney World programme will provide students with the opportunity to gain international experience with one of the most recognised brands across the world. Students can choose to participate in a variety of educational workshops, professional development studies and learning activities to complement their individual learning goals and work placement.
The Walt Disney World International Program can open many doors and provide a professional atmosphere to gain experience. Participants will have the incredible opportunity to discover firsthand why Disney’s high standards for guest service and company philosophy make it a world leader in the entertainment and leisure industry.
Graduates will acquire professional and personal skills to enhance almost any future career. As the scheme is run throughout the world, Edge Hill students that gain a place will work alongside other students from around the globe.
This exciting project will allow students to learn new technical skills whilst also reinforcing and developing existing attributes making them well rounded graduates; adding that all important extra on their job applications.
