Students Enjoy Results Day Success

More students than ever have achieved first-class degrees at Edge Hill University.

Nearly a thousand eager students made the journey back to Ormskirk to see if their years of hard work had paid dividends. For many the tears and cheers of jubilation were even louder as the University announced that more of its students than ever are getting first-class degrees.

Over 1,700 students will be honoured with degrees over the next few weeks making it one of the biggest graduate celebrations for Edge Hill.

There was good news for students on the BA (Hons) Physical Education course. The first cohort of students graduated with exceptional results and the vast majority of them achieved second-class honours and above.

John Cater, Vice-Chancellor of Edge Hill University, said: "July is an exciting time for students who have worked so hard over the past three years, and I am delighted to see a record number of Edge Hill graduates and more first class honours degrees awarded than at any time in the past. This is a strong testament to both the quality and commitment of the University's students and the professionalism of the University's staff, and I congratulate all involved."
