Media Students Gain Industry Insight

Media students from across the North West have gained a greater grasp of the industry after attending a sixth form conference at Edge Hill University.

The University's annual Media Xchange, which included talks from industry professionals in the areas of Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations, Animation and Film, attracted students from across Lancashire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside - double the number of last year's event.

Michelle Gledhill, Advertising Programme Leader, said: "It is very rare for students to be able to hear about the experiences of a range of media professionals at the same conference which is why attendance figures are on the up.

"Hopefully the students from Runshaw College found the conference very useful and will have a better understanding of what the media industry is all about."
