Edge Hill's Historic Honour

Further details have been released on this year?s National Student Survey with Edge Hill University receiving even more praise.

Based on student satisfaction, Edge Hill offers the second most-appreciated History degree in the UK and the ninth most popular degree overall based on student responses.

This news follows a second year of success for Edge Hill?s Law and Criminology department, along with acclaim for Social Work Studies, Biology, Teacher Training and English.

"It is very pleasing to hear that our students appreciate the quality of education they are receiving on the History course," said Nigel Simons, Edge Hill University's Dean of Humanities, Management, Social and Applied Sciences. "As a department they always seek to create a challenging, rewarding and supportive environment and it is great to receive direct praise from our students as it shows they are really getting it right."

The 2006 survey was commissioned by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) and conducted in 131 universities and colleges across the UK.
