Winners Earn a Degree of Success

Prize winners from Edge Hill University learned of their success at a special presentation event at the Ormskirk Campus.

Prizes were awarded to a range of students, many of them having completed their degree and foundation degree level studies for exceptional performance in subject areas from criminology, psychology, and computing, to teacher training and business management.

Mark Flinn, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) congratulated everyone on their success:

"You have all worked extremely hard and done incredibly well to become such high achievers. Many of you have juggled work and family commitments, making your accomplishments even more remarkable. This is a very special year for Edge Hill, as we embark on an exciting new phase of our development as a learning-led university. Edge Hill aspires to be a university of choice for students, and high standards of achievement are an important measure of individual and institutional success."

Prizes included cheques for £100, with a special achievement award of £250 for the highest dissertation mark presented to Catherine Coulthard. This year?s British Psychological Society prize was presented to Joanne Powell, who received a free membership to the Society and a book of the year.
