Nurses Flock to Careers Event
Around 250 graduate nurses from across the North West have a greater grasp of their professional options after attending a specialist careers event at Edge Hill University.
The Nurses Careers Fair, which was the first event of its kind to be organised by the university?s Faculty of Health and Careers Centre, was open to all newly qualified nurses looking for their first role in the workplace.
A host of employers were on hand to showcase a range of career options available to new nurses including the NHS, mental health organisations, the armed forces and local prisons.
Edge Hill University Employer Liaison Officer Katharine McKinnon said: "The event was a great success with many nurses gaining lots of information on the wealth of options available to them ? particularly those outside the NHS.
"Such was the popularity of the day and due to the very positive feedback from all involved we are sure to run something similar next year."
