Family Fun at the Sporting Edge

To help launch the BUPA sponsored national Commit To Get Fit campaign, the Sporting Edge at Edge Hill University is hosting a family fun run for charity on the afternoon of Saturday 8th July 2006.

There will be a 5km fun run for adults aged 16 and over, and a 1km fun run for children under 16. Activities start at 12.00 noon to include face painting, gymnastics and dance displays, trampolining for children, raffles, prizes, treasure hunts and other games, with the races setting off at 1.00pm. There will be stands from BUPA Healthcare and local sports businesses and a chance to find out more about getting involved in Commit To Get Fit.

Entry forms for the fun runs are available in advance from the Sporting Edge or can be picked up on the day. All proceeds go to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Sponsorship forms are also available in a bid to raise more cash for the national charity.
