A Toast to Good Health

Around 200 health professionals graduated from Edge Hill on Saturday. Nurses, midwives and operating department practitioners joined their families, tutors and friends to celebrate and receive their diplomas and degrees at a ceremony at the Ormskirk Campus.

Four outstanding graduates were awarded cheques for £100 for achieving the highest exam results in their area. Catherine Evans, from Ormskirk received the award for the degree in Health and Social Care Practice, Rebecca Freeman, from West Kirkby for Midwifery, Deborah Percival, from Hightown for the Diploma in Health and Social Care and Suzanne Ryan, from West Derby for child nursing.

John Cater, Edge Hill?s Chief Executive was delighted to wish all the graduates success in their future careers:

"We are proud of the role we play in training the nurses, midwives and health professions of tomorrow and the support we offer to the NHS employees of today," said John. "Rebecca, Catherine, Deborah and Suzanne are excellent examples of the high levels of commitment and professionalism of students and staff in the Faculty of Health. I know that they, together with all of the award-holders, will continue the tradition of outstanding service in the interests of patient care".
