TEEN THEMED DANCE AEROBICS
A new exercise class, aimed specifically at teenagers, has been launched at the Sporting Edge, Edge Hill?s community sports complex, based at the Ormskirk Campus.
Teen Themed Dance Aerobics takes place every Friday evening from 5.00pm until 6.00pm and is aimed specifically at 9 to 15 year-olds.
The class provides a fun exercise option for children who may not enjoy traditional sports such as netball, hockey or football. Instructor, Kathryn Stemp, includes modern music with contemporary dance moves in the class routine.
The Sporting Edge?s fitness manager, Rob Stewart said:
"Current research shows that activity levels in girls decline once they become teenagers. This dance based, low impact, aerobic class is a fun activity that will provide a good level of exercise as an alternative or an addition to team or individual sports."
