LEARNING SERVICES AT EDGE HILL

A Learning Services Open Day at Edge Hill?s Ormskirk Campus gave staff and students the opportunity to find out about the range of support services on offer.

The event combined tours of specialist facilities with demonstrations of electronic resources and presentations outlining off campus support, and developments in teaching and learning.

Sue Roberts is Head of Learning Services at Edge Hill, she said:

"We have invested in new buildings, facilities and resources to make sure that students have all the support they need to make the most of their study time.

Our Learning Resource Centre (LRC) and the Learning Innovation Centre (LINC) are both very well equipped to provide excellent resources for student study. Our experienced Specialist Support and Study Skills teams offer a first rate service, from one to one support for study skills to specialist provision for students with dyslexia or specific learning difficulties."

Other services available for students include over 220.000 books, printed and electronic journals, audio-visual resources, large scale, networked PCs and extensive media facilities. ENDS
