TV Studio

The new TV Studio operates with state of the art HD (High definition) Cameras.
3 x JVC GY-HM790E mounted in studio cradle configuration. This gives the studio the flexibility of having a hand held portable configurations if required.
All the cameras are mounted on industry standard Vinten pedestals, 1 of which has full crab capabilities.

There is a large production gallery, which incorporates a HVS-300 Full HD industry standard vision mixer, and a Grass Valley 3 Channel, T2 iDDR tapeless recorder.
This provides tapeless recording of the studio output, whilst allowing playback of material into the studio environment, it also allows transparency into our post production editing suites, these facilities you would find in mainstream television studios and post-production companies. No need for video tape, by utilising ingenuity and innovation this design encompasses what you would require with file based tapeless workflow models.

The production gallery also offers correct reference lighting conditions you would find in large studios, therefore offering students the correct working environment, to provide the best student experience.

The studio floor lighting grid offers the latest technologies, with low power consumption lamps, and provides a comfortable working environment with a low carbon footprint, whilst maintaining the very best performance from a fully dimmable strand lighting console.

We can facilitate a variety of production requirements, including chroma key, teleprompting, file transcoding and graphics.

The sound gallery is equipped with a professional 24 channel sound mixing desk, and a wide variety of microphones thus enabling it to produce any genre of television show; be it light entertainment, situation comedy, factual, or news.

You can even bring your own equipment subject to approval.
