This is a key position within the IT Services department; the successful candidate will have University-wide responsibility to contribute to the development and operational delivery of core Business Systems to a University and stakeholder community of over 25,000 users. The IT Services - Business Systems combine best of breed solutions that exist within an integrated Oracle and Microsoft technology framework.
The Business Solutions are increasingly key to the growth and success of the University. You will have responsibility for the support, implementation, operational delivery and proactive development of specific University ITS Business Systems. In addition, you will liaise and collaborate with other IT Services divisions, client departments and expert users across the University, as well as external suppliers, maintainers and solution providers.
The appointee will combine technical and problem solving expertise with a commitment to excellent customer service. Significant proven working experience and knowledge in the support of IT services, database and business application development and support is essential, as is an awareness of relevant IT platforms (UNIX and Windows) and database environments (Oracle and SQL Server).
