Before you get to Edge Hill
Prepare for Success is an interactive web learning tool for international students who are getting ready to come to the UK for study in further or higher education. It contains learning resources which are activity-based to help you find out about different aspects of academic life in the UK and the skills needed for effective study. English Language Support
English accents vary greatly and at EHU you will hear many different accents. You may be worrying about your pronunciation, please don’t! British people are used to hearing words pronounced in different ways – you will be understood!
The following link will allow you to hear accents from different regions within the UK. Simply click on an area on the map to hear how people sound who live in that area (you will need to download a FlashPlayer available through this link).
