Initial support

We provide English language support orientation for study abroad students whose first language is not English. During this session you will produce a piece of academic writing, which we collect, assess and use during a one-to-one follow-up session. This takes place during orientation week and offers comprehensive feedback of your strengths and weaknesses.

One-to-one English language support

Sessions can be arranged for individual students and take place throughout the academic year. To arrange an appointment you can email:Linda.marron@edgehill.ac.uk

Group support

If several students require similar support (such as academic writing, paragraphing, etc.), group sessions can be arranged, with needs assessed from initial one-to-one meetings. To arrange an appointment you can email: Linda.marron@edgehill.ac.uk

NOTE: Group and one-to-one support sessions can also cover study skills, speaking and listening practice.
