Step 1: Apply
There are 3 ways you can apply:
Directly to Edge Hill
You will need to download an application form. Please read the guidance notes carefully before completing and make sure that you have included all the documents that we need.
Once you have completed the form you can email it to us, together with scanned copies of all the supporting documentation required, at international@edgehill.ac.uk or post the application and documentation to the Centre for International Education:

Via one of our agents or partners
Our agent or partner will provide you with an application form to complete. Our agents and partners have had lots of experience helping people to apply to us and they will be able to guide you and will make sure that you have included all the documents that we will need.
Once you have submitted the application form and all the supporting documentation we need the agent or partner will send them to our Centre for International Education.
Via UKPASS
Applications to some postgraduate taught courses can be processed centrally throughUKPASS. You will need to register on the UKPASS website before completing the online application:

Edge Hill’s institution code is EHU E42, and you should ensure that this is entered clearly your application form, together with the code for the course you wish to apply for. The course codes are listed on the course pages of this website.

Step 2: Receive offer
If you applied directly to Edge Hill or via UKPASS
Once you have applied we will contact you by email to let you know that we have received your application.
We will try wherever possible to make a decision about your application within 72 hours however please be aware that this may sometimes take a little longer but we will keep you informed about the progress of your application.
If you send your application by post it can take up to 2 weeks to arrive in the UK. This means that in some cases it may take up to 4 weeks from the time you first send us your application before we can actually inform you of our decision. Again we will keep you informed of the progress of your application however if you at all concerned please contact us.
If your offer is unconditional we will email your offer letter and post the original to you. If your offer is conditional you will receive it by email and once you have met all the conditions we will post you an unconditional offer letter.
If you applied via our agents or partners
We will send your offer letter directly to our agent or partner so that they will be able to help you with the next stages in the process as quickly and effectively as possible.
We will try wherever possible to make a decision about your application within 72 hours however please be aware that this may sometimes take a little longer.
We will keep our agent or partner informed of the progress of your application so if you have any concerns or questions please ask them and they will be able to help you.
Step 3: Accept offer and Apply for Accommodation
Once you have received your offer letter (conditional or unconditional) please make sure that you let us know that you have accepted it by emailinginternational@edgehill.ac.uk. Please note you must include your full name and student id number (this will be on your offer letter) in your acceptance email.
We guarantee on-campus accommodation for all international students if you apply by 1st August.
If you would like to live on campus, you should complete the online application form as soon as you are offered a place at Edge Hill.
Step 4: Pay deposit
When you have accepted your offer you will then need to pay the deposit requested. You will be able to do this in a number of ways:
- online using a credit card
- by telephone using a credit card (please call +44 1695 657122)
- by bank transfer (Bank details)
- by cheque (within the UK)
- by bank draft (outside the UK)
Once we have received your deposit payment we will then be able to issue your CAS letter.
Step 5: Receive CAS and Apply for Visa
In order to apply for a visa you will need to have received a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance to Study) letter to show to the UK Border Agency.
We will send your CAS letter by email once you have met any conditions of your offer and paid the required deposit.
