Our end-of-project conference will take place at the University of Ghana, 29-30 November 2012, on the theme of:

Language Practices and Values in Contemporary Ghana: Identities in the Making

Keynote speakers:     Dr  Joseph Gafaranga, University of Edinburgh; Professor Mary Esther Kropp Dakubu, University of Ghana

The aim of the conference is to highlight the complexity and dynamism of language in modern-day Ghana and in the Ghanaian diaspora, based on recent and on-going research.  In line with this aim, we particularly invite contributions which focus on language practices and the formation of language values among young people.  Contributions are also welcome on relevant linguistic research in other African contexts.

Call for abstracts/proposals  (colloquia, individual papers, and posters)
