British Academy UK-Africa Academic Partnership 2010-2012
Language Practices and Values among Young People in Ghana
January 2010 saw the start of our three-year collaboration, funded by the British Academy. The three partners are Edge Hill University in the UK and two Ghanaian universities, the University of Ghana and the University of Education Winneba. The project took shape in the context of a lack of recent research and publication in our proposed area of sociolinguistic investigation, related to an acknowledged serious lack of specialist capacity in HE institutions in Ghana. All members of the project welcome contact with scholars who share our interests and who would like to know more about any aspect of our work.
