PD Courses for Design and Technology: Summer Term 2012

Edge Hill University has an enviable tradition of providing high quality continuing professional development courses in Design and Technology. The programme for the summer term of 2012 provides a range of courses, a number of which are free of charge, to enable teachers of Design and Technology to update their subject knowledge and be at the forefront of national developments.

Highlights this term include:

  • Advanced Use of Google SketchUp: 4.30 pm – 6.30 pm, Wednesday 30th May 2012
  • Advanced Use of Adobe Photoshop: 4.30 pm – 6.30 pm, Wednesday 13th June 2012
  • Technology Enhanced Learning in D&T: 4.30 pm – 6.30 pm, Monday 18th June
  • ‘Meeting Technological Challenges?’ talk by Gina White HMI for Design & Technology : 4.30 pm – 6.30 pm, Wednesday 20th June
  • Sustainability in D&T at KS3: 4.30 pm – 6.30 pm, Thursday 28th June
  • GCSE Electronic Products: A Controlled Assessment Project: Saturday 7th July.
  • Health & Safety courses to update your certification.

All courses can be linked to the new, practice-based MA Education (Design and Technology). How? Attend the course. Apply your learning in your setting and then evaluate the outcomes for you and your learners.
