Public Realm Lecture Series
Edge Hill University's Centre for Local Policy Studies is launching a major new series of open lectures on the Public Realm in the Big Society. Each lecture will be delivered by guest speakers who are key players in the public, private, voluntary and third sectors.
The series will explore how the existence of a Public Realm may be seen as the expression of a common 'good' and as the basis of a shared relationship between citizens. It is the recognition that there are some areas of life that are not and should not be controlled by private interests.
