Volunteer Multi-Faith Chaplaincy at Edge Hill University

A Volunteer Chaplaincy Service at Edge Hill University will be launched in September 2011.

The Chaplaincy will offer a multi-faith service and representation from several Christian denominations, the Jewish Faith and Muslim Faith. Representatives from other faiths will also be invited to join the service.

Although support is primarily offered for issues relating to religion and spirituality, private and confidential advice and guidance can also be given on other matters, such as sensitive issues occurring on campus.

In summary, the role of a chaplain is to help students at all levels, whether they face economic crisis, family and relationship problems or anxieties and worries in other areas, and to guide them in a way that they can focus on their studies.

For more information on the Voluntary Chaplaincy Service, please contact Jennie Owen on 01695 584204 or email jennie.owen@edgehill.ac.uk.
