Information for Staff
Welcome to The Careers Centre
All staff at Edge Hill share a common interest of ensuring that our students develop the skills and knowledge that they need to progress to fulfilling and suitable careers.
Our work with Faculties and Subject Areas
Since the early 1990s the Careers Centre has established close working relationships with all academic areas across the institution. Each year a designated careers adviser and tutor review the partnership agreement for a specified subject area and then identify the inputs that the department would like from Careers to their staff and students.
The Careers Centre can deliver sessions with students covering areas such as skills development, work experience, CV’s and application procedures.
We can arrange for specific speakers to talk to your students. In the past we have arranged talks with representatives from areas such as the Probation Service, Police, Clinical Psychology and Self-employment.
We can provide specific departments with a breakdown of first destinations of their graduates.
We organise a specific Careers Fair for each Faculty inviting prospective employers to attend who can provide advice and information to students regarding opportunities within their organisation.
