Please read this information CAREFULLY, and keep the link in safe place for future reference.
You should read the conditions carefully, as it is your responsibility to ensure that you are able to comply with and meet all the conditions of the offer.
You should note that it is your responsibility to ensure you meet the conditions of your offer in good time. Edge Hill will not chase you up if you do not send any required documentation. Therefore if you post documentation to us you should check to ensure it arrives here. All documentation relating to conditions of your offer should be sent to the Admissions Office - please ensure this is clearly marked on everything you send to us. A return proforma is provided at the bottom of this page.
Your offer may include some or all of the following conditions:
|Condition Listed on UCAS or in Letter||
Most candidates submit proof of their qualifications at the interview day. However those that haven’t are asked for proof as a condition of their offer. If this forms a condition of your offer you will need to send proof as soon as possible. If you are sending proof of qualifications which are in a maiden name or previous name you should include proof of your name change.
You can either bring them to the Admissions Office in person any weekday between 8.45am and 5pm; post them to the Admissions Office using the Special Delivery service (your certificates will be returned to you in the same way); or wait until later in the year and bring them with you when you provide your ID for DBS check (please be aware we do not have photocopying facilities on these days).
|Degree||No||Yes||Yes for PGCE||
Confirmation of your degree results should take the form of: a letter from your university or college (on official letterhead); transcript (on official headed paper); degree certificate. We will not receive automatic confirmation from your University when you get your award. Therefore you should send proof of your classification to the Admissions Office as soon as you receive it. If you are currently a student at Edge Hill, there is no need for you to send in confirmation of your degree, as we will automatically be notified of your results.
Edge Hill offers its own GCSE equivalency tests in Maths English and Science www.edgehill.ac.uk/tests. It is your responsibility to sit and pass the tests before the deadline. Please ensure you allow sufficient time for your tests to be marked.
Please note that Adult Numeracy, Key Skills Application of Number, Key Skills Communication and Adult Literacy are not considered equivalent to GCSE English Language and Mathematics at Grade C or above for Early Years, Primary or Secondary programmes leading to QTS.

We periodically check the results of everyone holding offers with Pearson the examining board, so you don’t need to post your results to us.
Please visit our website www.edgehill.ac.uk/skillstests for more information about the Skills Test and details of the free support sessions offered to our applicants.
|Additional School Experience||Maybe||Maybe||Maybe||
If you have been asked to undertake a period of school experience, you will receive full details of this in a separate letter. You will be given a deadline, usually 30th June 2014, by which to provide us with a letter from the head teacher of the school confirming that you have successfully completed the relevant number of days of classroom experience.

Further details will be sent to you separately by email normally from June 2013. If you are asked to attend the programme, you should check your emails regularly as you will be required fill in forms closer to the time.
Irrespective of other offer conditions, all offers are based on the requirement that potential trainees are able to meet the statutory requirements of the profession for physical and mental fitness to teach. You will be sent full details and a medical questionnaire around 3-4 months prior to your start date. Our Occupational Health Adviser (OHA) will consider the information you provide and will confirm whether or not you meet the requirements. You may, exceptionally, be contacted for further details by the OHA.
Completed Medical Forms should be submitted to the Admissions Office.

If you have lived outside of the UK (for a period of 3 months or more) you will be asked to obtain criminal record clearance from the overseas country/countries that you have lived. Please email DBSAdmin@edgehill.ac.uk. We will then reply to you, usually within 2 working days, with instructions on how to gain your clearance, or provide information as to which relevant bodies you will need to contact to obtain this.
Please note, for some countries this can be a lengthy process, therefore you are advised to obtain this clearance as soon as possible - do not wait until you are asked to apply for this clearance.
For PCET In-Service or School Direct salaried it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure you are cleared.
In some circumstances trainees may be sent further information by the Programme Leader asking them to undertake additional preparation before the start of the PGCE programme. This, in most cases, is a recommendation and will help prepare you for the programme. It will be clear from your offer if this forms an actual condition.
Use this form if you have been asked to send documentation to the Admissions Office. If you brought this documentation to your interview you do not need to re-send it.
